UK Day 11 - Anglesey

(2022.09.18) Ian wasn't up for another outing so Emma and I went to the island of Anglesey off the northwest corner of Wales.

Looking toward the north from the Menai Bridge.

This was the most surprising sight of the day.  This is looking down from the Menai Bridge.  They are Barrel Jellyfish and they're huge! There were dozens of them floating by.

Sheep ... er, pig of the day.

These are the Ruddgaer stepping stones. Not much is known about them but it was a nice walk getting there.

Bodowyr neolithic burial chamber out in the middle of a field with sheep and cows roaming around.

Bryn Cilli Ddu neolithic burial chamber.  Larger than Bodowyr and you can actually walk into it.

Bryn Cilli Ddu from the inside.

The waterfall at Betws-y-Coed.  Betws-y-Coed is a tourist hub for Snowdonia.  It was pretty busy.  We stopped for a beer and to buy some souvenirs for my grandkids.

A mound of slate near one of the Welsh Slate company mines.

Tried to stop at the George III for dinner, but it was busy.  All I got was a picture of some cattle.
