(2022.09.24, Saturday) No long walks today. I reasoned that since it was the weekend, anywhere I wanted to go would likely be busy, so I just stayed in Penzance. Checked out several art galleries. Didn't see anything that really grabbed me. You could tell that it is a coastal town though.
St. Mary's church in Penzance.
While wandering around St Mary's church, I met Gerry Arnold. He's a local character, perhaps a professional clown, who told me a lot about the history of St. Mary's. Originally, there was a "chapel of ease" on this site. It was a place for people to go to church who didn't want to walk five miles to the official church. Good guy. Interesting conversation.
Flowers in front of a wall.
Clouds over an old fountain.
I'm a sucker for old doors in old buildings. I take too many pictures of them.
The Border Force.
What happens in the harbor when the tide is out.
Flower of the day.
Indulging in my secret passion for produce photography. The oranges are really good!
I love that you interact with the locals. Misread your boat picture to say Border Fence and had a good laugh for a moment.
