(2022.09.25, Sunday) A leisurely 11.5-mile walk into the interior of Cornwall in search of ancient ruins. I did find a few, but less than I expected. Lots of great scenery. The worst part of the day was returning to town during the 4:00 to 6:00 window when no one is serving food. I was hungry.
Scenery along the way.
A typical Cornish road. (Note that there are no shoulders or sidewalks.)
A typical Cornish resident.
View of Mount's Bay from above.
I believe this is an air traffic control beacon.
Self-serve farm stand.
Abandoned farm.
Greenburrow Engine House. There are several of these engine houses. Apparently, they housed pumps that pumped water from the mines below.
Another view of the engine house.
Flower of the day.
Country lane.
Knowing where I'm at.
Met this gentleman putting his car away after taking it to a nearby car show. It's an Austin Seven Sport.
And the road goes every on and on.
What gorgeous country. What? No meals at supper time?!
