(2022.09.27, Tuesday) Despite the prospect of terrible weather, I took the train to St. Ives. It's a beautiful and interestingly picturesque little town on the north side of Cornwall. Lots of art galleries and tourist shopping. Came back to Penzance earlier than originally planned due to the wind and rain. BTW, traveling in England by train is incredibly easy and convenient. Trains more or less hourly. I think my round trip ticket cost 5 pounds 30.

UK Day 20 - St. Ives
On the train to St. Ives.
St. Ive's harbor.
Even the birds were taking shelter.
These two were having a good time playing on the beach.
A boat in the harbor at low tide.
These shells were all over the beach.
She was beachcombing for "ocean glass" to use in jewelry making.
A hydrofoil surfboard. I've never seen this before.
The harbor wall with St. Ives in the distance.
I'm not sure which route he took, but it must have been a heckuva drive.
St. Nicholas chapel.
... and proud of her profession, too.
Lunchtime view from The Sloop Inn.
Seagull of the day.
I just like the colors.
Why I came back early.

I love your seagull of the day. My dad’s family came from nearby in Red Ruth. I really appreciate your travel journal.
